Ca' Bianca Ristorante Italiano 4.75 stars

We attended Ca' Bianca Ristorante Italiano for Noah's Bat Mitzvah. It was a special occasion so we ordered off the banquet menu. Food is Good highly recommends the salmon with creamed potatoes. The potatoes were cut into thin slices layered with cream sauce and the salmon was spiced with mint and sweet sauce. The dessert menu included a pastry topped with vanilla ice cream and baked apples which was a unanimous favorite. Ca' Bianca is located in a historical building and decorated in a Victorian style, which adds to the atmosphere. The reviewers of Food is Good hope you can attend Ca' Bianca for your next meal.

Food Memories

Recently Food is Good interviewed Ma'ayan Simon about her own family's food traditions. She talked a bit about the Jewish holiday foods. For example, Ma'ayan's family eats sweet foods for Rosh Hashanah such as apples dipped in honey and round challah to ensure a sweet new year. For Passover her family eats matzo ball soup, matzo meal pancakes, and matzo brie. You might like to look up one of these recipes for any upcoming holiday.

Pho Anh Linh 4.5 stars

Pho Anh Linh is a delicious Vietnamese restaurant located in the Santa Rosa area. At the moment they are promoting their soda with free drinks. No. 1 on the vermicelli pork salad section is a delightful noodle salad. It is similar to Pho Vietnam's noodle salad with the exception of having less lettuce and a lot more vermicelli noodles. We recommend this plate for its sweet, flavorful sauce. The sauce blends nicely with the noodles, barbecued pork, and lettuce. The decor is average but nice and the food is without doubt amazing.

Pizza: a History

Pizza has survived the ages and still has some of its original attributes. It was recorded as early as the year 997 when it appeared in medieval Latin. By the 16th century it was served as a street food in Naples. Pizza was originally a commoners' food and wasn't actually served in the kitchen until the 17th century. As more Europeans moved to the Americas, pizza's red sauce was replaced with fish sauces. Cheese didn't garnish pizza until the chef Raffaele Esposito served a pizza topped with mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes the colors of the Italian flag. This combination is still popular today. Even though we now have a wider variety of toppings pizza is still baked in the traditional fashion.

A Simple Kind of Muesli

This recipe is simple and involves throwing together whatever you have available. It's not the most delicious muesli you can find, but can make a tasty snack.

Ingredients
One cup milk (cow or goat's)
One cup oats
One tablespoon sugar (can use less if desired.)
One cubed apple
1 half orange
whatever fruit you have available

Mix it all up and enjoy! You may substitute agave syrup or honey instead of sugar. Bananas make a tasty addition.

King Hwa 3 Stars

King Hwa located in the town of Sebastopol in the Fiesta shopping center is a good place to relax with a bowl of soup or a cup of tea. This restaurant's rating was highly debated by our reviewers. A couple of them rated it low because the water was sour and the service was less than exemplary, however it was rated quite high by a few individuals as the food they claimed is superb. This restaurant we will leave to you to judge depending on your tastes.

Indomie Mie Goreng

Our newest reviewer Madeleine Audina Describes these noodles as one of her favorite foods. Her only comment was that they were really good and rated them five stars on a scale of one to five. Hopefully you can enjoy them too!

Pho Vietnam 4.5 stars

Pho Vietnam, located in Santa Rosa in the Lucky's shopping center, offers flavorful food at an affordable price. Once you enter the restaurant you will be seated by one of their legendary waiters. The food spans from soups to salads, but all with the spicy flavorful aromas and sauces that you will come to love. The atmosphere is noisy but relaxed. They do have take-out but if getting soup you should note that the meat comes raw. You must pore the boiling broth over the meat. Which can be an inconvenience. All in all Pho Vietnam is definitely recommended by Food is Good.
